Sun(Setter)Day: Letting Your Soul Cry

Hey Fellow Setters,
Soooo… I had what some may consider a tower moment or an ego death yesterday. It was one of those days where I genuinely felt like there was literally nothing left for me to do but to cry. Not just any cry, but the type of cry that physically appears silent, yet internally your soul is bawling hysterically. Everything over the last several days felt colossal, and I felt the pressure of enormity. I became overstimulated and subsequently disoriented; Spiritually overloaded indeed. So once the tears started rolling, I could not stop crying, and honestly, I didn’t want to. I truly needed that form of release because I know that during those periods, every part of me has no choice but to surrender to the experience. And it’s one of those “withholding nothing” experiences where you just give in to the Divine Mother, the Divine Father, and the rest of your spiritual team (whoever you all may consider as your higher forces) because you know only they can see you through it.

For some reason, I always go into fetal position, like I’m in the womb again, knowing (with a side of hope) I will be reborn. I know I needed to just be in what was making itself known. I needed to acknowledge and embrace myself through weakness so I could truly see me. Although I felt destabilized(and exhausted… whew chilee!), the light within my soul shone, requiring me to be in stillness to feel the truth radiating from it. I needed not only to hear but to listen to how those truths felt. One thing about truth is that it never guarantees beauty or comfort, but it always is.

As much as I wish this didn’t happen the way it did, and honestly, during this time(I’m tireddddd y’all), I know it needed to. It’s so important to give ourselves permission to unburden the present and circumstantial weight within our lives. It’s okay to not know and to accept that “control” is out of our reach. It’s okay to choose to not fight the currents. Sometimes… a lot of the time, the most powerful thing we can do is let our soul cry. It’s freedom that lies there.

I am still very much in this experience, presently coming up for air, of course. However, I am thankful I was able to (come up for air), because these are the types of moments I want to be comfortable sharing as they are happening. I want resonance to exist while in the experience of said energy, frequency, emotion, sensation, state of being, etc. This is probably an awkward place to insert this, but I am also thankful for Auntie Gladys Knight’s rendition of “I Hope You Dance” because that was definitely on repeat as I was in this space of endurance. I can’t wait to touch on the power of music and the limitless ways it can be intentionally used to transmute, transform, and alchemize emotions(energy in motion) for listeners and creators. As well as the ways that your spiritual team can use music and certain songs to give insight to you. Soon enough, though.

Anywaysssssss, I like to believe this was a good way to kick off “Sun(Setter)Day”. I hope you all feel the same.
Happy Sunday Setters!!! Speaking a great and restorative week ahead for you all. And don’t be afraid to let y’all soul’s cry if need be. If you feel you have nothing else, always know you do have the power to set yourself free!
