Intellect is necessary logically, but it shouldn’t be oversold to the point of undervaluing the intellect that exists within our emotions/feelings. There’s no need for us to be robots; they already exist. We as humans are meant for more. The state of the world is showing us that constant disregard for the emotional well-being of humans is destructive. The underdevelopment of emotional intelligence creates a ripple within our existence. Not only does it leave us fragmented (keeping in mind that we are energetic beings at our core, aka feelers), but it also causes us to become desensitized in the worst ways. De-sens-it-ize, the reduction of senses . . . the same senses that we are made up of . . . for a reason, I might add. Detaching from the very makeup of our existence causes disharmony/ dissonance in the reasoning/need for our existence. What’s the point of us living? Thought isn’t a part of the basic five senses; It is a byproduct of them. So why do we overemphasize its importance in life? Granted, thought is necessary, but only thinking and being from a place of logic doesn’t make you superior. In this world, it just gives way for you to be easily conditioned by perception to the point of irrationality (which goes against the reasoning of those who cling to being logical to begin with). Perception without valuing feeling (senses, energy) is fixed, stagnant, and flawed. And I would go as far as to say nonexistent, but that’s just me.
